Barcelona Complete €40m Deal For Valencia Striker David Villa

By Chris Wright

It’s just been confirmed on Valencia’s official website that David Villa has completed his €40 million (approx. £34 million) switch to Barcelona.

Villa has signed a four-year deal with the Catalan giants, that will see him taking home over €7 million-a-season in wages.

It is understood that the prolific striker will be unveiled as a Barca player at the Camp Nou later on Friday afternoon.

Stat of the Day: Apparently David Villa has a career strike-rate of a goal every 1.88 games, which is fairly phenomenal by anybody’s standard.
