Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has not ruled out the prospect of rejoining Real Madrid, revealing that a move that would see him team up with Jose Mourinho again is ‘possible’.

Mourinho is expected to be named as the latest Real Madrid manager during the next few days after winning a domestic and European treble with Inter last season and the Dutch string-puller, who was deemed to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu before joining the Nerazzurri only a year ago, has admitted that he may be tempted to follow ‘The Special One’ back to La Liga.

Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf (which roughly translates as ‘The Telegraph’), Sneijder said;

“Return to Real Madrid? Everything is possible, but I have not spoken to [Mourinho] about this.

So there you have it. Mourinho’s magnetic hold over the affections of his former players is apparently showing no signs of wavering.
