Man City beat Spurs to Martin Petrov’s signature

Sven has beaten Spurs to the signing of Bulgarian international, Martin Petrov, following a £4.7m deal that brings him to Manchester City from Athletico Madrid.
Apparently, Eriksson’s name and not City’s newfound wealth was the reason the winger chose the Eastlands – leaving Spurs to continue their search for a final left-sided piece to their jigsaw.
