Barcelona star Ronaldinho has played down reports that he snubbed a move to St Mirren. The Scottish side tried to sign a 21-year-old Ronaldinho in 2001. Saints claim he turned down a loan move while his transfer to Paris Saint Germain was held up.
But at a press conference ahead of Barcelona’s friendly with Dundee United tonight, Ronny played light-hearted questions from Scottish journalists with a straight bat. He said: “That was a long time ago, and before leaving Brazil I had a lot of offers from Europe before going to Paris. I can’t remember where they were all from.”
Thierry Henry is expected to make his Barca debut at Tannadice tonight.
