Inter full-back Maicon wants to follow former coach Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid. You don’t say. This is a more predictable transfer than any this summer.

The 28-year-old Brazilian told Spanish daily AS: “What I want is to play at Madrid and for me it would be an honour to be able to do that because I’ve already said it would be a great opportunity in my career.

“With Manchester City I have nothing (agreed), I can assure. I’m going to say it very clearly so there are no misunderstandings. I want to play at Madrid – I don’t want to go to Manchester City.

“Moreover, I repeat that I have nothing (agreed) with the English club.”

Got that everyone? Brazilian in shock “Does NOT want to spend his winters in Manchester” news. Funny that.

Wonder how much Maicon would cost though? I’d value him at around £30m.

im sure sergio ramos is thrilled about this. if madrid do pull this off ramos should start thinking about trying to be a winger b/c he’ll never get on the field as a right back with maicon there
