Wolves have completed the signing of Steven Fletcher from Burnley for an undisclosed fee – believed to be in the region of £7 million.
Fletcher has signed a four-year contract at Molineux, with the option of a further year.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the club’s official site;
“We are delighted to complete the signing of Steven Fletcher.
He was one of Mick’s main targets for the summer and – just like last season with Kevin Doyle – we were able to register our interest early and get the deal done.”
The Scottish striker (who is unbelievably just 23-years-old) scored 8 goals in 35 Premier League appearances for Burnley last season, but sadly his tally – which was equal to that of the much-lauded Bobby Zamora – was not enough to keep the Clarets in the top flight.
