According to Sky Sports, Spartak Moscow have made a bid of €10 million (£8.3 million) for Celtic’s Aiden McGeady.
A flock of representatives from the Russian club reportedly flew in to Glasgow last week in the hope of discussing a move for McGeady and have now, after positive initial discussions, made a firm offer for the Irish winger.
It is thought that Spartak’s offer may spark a bidding war over McGeady (who is incidentally the best player in the SPL by a country mile) with both Birmingham City and Liverpool known to have shown a prior interest in the 24-year-old.
