Hey Bobby, what’s French for ‘see ya then’?

Barcelona have confirmed that Thierry Henry will be free to leave the club this summer, after agreeing a compromised deal to pay up the remaining year of the French striker’s contract at the club.

Barca’s general director Joan Oliver issued an emotional farewell statement, thanking Henry for three years of dedicated service and wishing him well in whatever ventures he should choose to pursue in the future;

“For Barcelona it is not a bad agreement, because we avoid paying him next season.”

Ah…

It is widely expected that Henry will now make a move to the MLS with the New York Red Bulls.
