Al Jazira 2-1 Al Wasl: Philip Cocu’s career in the UAE starts with a wonder goal
Not a bad way to mark your first game for a new club. Dutch veteran Philip Cocu, now playing in the UAE for Al Jazira, scored with this fierce bicycle kick to help his new club to a 2-1 win over Al Wasl.
I always thought Cocu was an underrated player, and it’s nice to see him still doing the business, albeit in a David Beckham, I’m-too-good-for-this-league kind of way.

How did Al Queda do?
Well, I certainly hope Cocu lasts longer than Beckham. I still think you misunderestimate (love that word) the MLS, but I didn’t think we could so obliterate the competition in attendance. That’s just pathetic. I wonder if they show cute girls in the audience at halftime?
Btw, how much longer is pies going to make me use crappy internet exploder to read your site? WAAtP doesn’t load in Opera, and thus isn’t w3c compliant (the workarounds for ie are not).
