EREDIVISIE giants Ajax have re-signed professional waste-of-space Mido, who has played for no less than eight clubs (with increasingly little effect) since leaving the Amsterdam Arena in 2003.
It seems the move is borne out of sheer desperation for the Dutch side, with coach Martin Jol issuing the following heart-swellingly fond ‘welcome back’ message on the club’s official website;
“We needed an extra striker and we have limited resources which have to be considered.”
And that’s about all he deserves.
