AFTER a largely rubbish spell with Celtic, large rubbish striker Marc-Antoine Fortune has re-signed for West Brom on a two-year deal.

Fortune fell foul of large numbers of Bhoys fans during his short stint at Parkhead, with many believing that his cumbersome performances didn’t justify his relatively high £3.8 million transfer fee.

However, Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo is slightly more optimistic that the French forward can rediscover the bustling form that suckered Celtic into parting with their cash just 13 months ago;

“I’m delighted to welcome Marco back to the club. The great thing about this signing is that it won’t take him long to settle in because he knows the club inside out. He also knows what this league is all about.

“Marco got on really well with the other players during his loan here and they’re all delighted to see him back. He is a powerful striker who can hold the ball up and bring others into play and having also signed Peter Odemwingie, we now have plenty of competition up front.”
