While Steven Gerrard was named as the official man of the match for a lung busting second half display, we think there were a few other players who could also have deserved.
Wayne Rooney was everywhere and the only thing missing from his performance was a goal while Becks will struggle to reach his 100th cap if David Bentley can consistently show the form he did last night. And Joe Cole excelled in a new central position, setting up Jenas was for his first international goal while Wright-Phillips made the desired impact from the bench.
