Ronaldo ruptures knee tendon, playing career could be over (with video)
Ronaldo (the Brazilian, not the Portuguese) left the pitch in tears after rupturing a tendon in his left knee, during Milan’s Serie A game against Livorno last night. He fell awkwardly while challenging for a ball in the air, not long after replacing Alberto Gilardino in the second half.
This is a serious injury that could spell the end of the 31-year-old legend’s playing career. He suffered a similar injury to his right knee, and that took him almost two years to come back from – now he is older and the recovery time could be even longer. Poor fella.
