domenech wii.jpgThe France squad for the European Championships this summer are coming to terms with the prospect of two weeks without Nintendo Wii after coach Raymond Domenech banned his players from playing the console during the tournament. Domenech reportedly played Wii – strictly in the interests of his players, you understand – and picked up a nasty little injury.
He said: “It is a physical exercise. It is [what caused] my tendinitis because I played a boxing match. I could not move my shoulder for two days.” After discovering just how dangerous playing Wii could be, the French coach decided he couldn’t risk losing Grégory Coupet to a shoulder injury during Euro 2008 and took decisive action.
