Stoke City Still Keen On Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva

By Chris Wright

According to this morning’s Daily Mirror, Stoke City are ready to revive their efforts to sign Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva in January, after missing out on the Brazilian over the summer.

Lucas was apparently all set to move to the Britannia on transfer deadline day before the deal was scrapped at the 11th hour, but Potters boss Tony Pulis has cobbled together £4 million and is ready to enter the bidding once again – presumably on the basis that anything’s better than man-gibbon Rory Delap.
