Early reports from Italy re: the match-fixing scandal indicate that Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina will be relegated to Serie B next season, with Juve picking up a 15-point penalty too. Yowza. Looks like AC Milan will stay in Serie A but be barred from the Champions League for one year; Juve and Fiorentina won’t be allowed to compete in the CL next season either. Where now for Cannavaro, Buffon, Vieira and Ibrahimovic?

What a rollercoaster ride for Italian football: talk about from the sublime (winning the World Cup) to the ridiculous. [Via Football365]
