I’m still not sure how Spurs beat the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Newcastle, Man City and Bayern Munich to the signature of the Croatian playmaker, but the fact is they have. It’s a wonderful coup for the club, who made Dinamo Zagreb a £16m offer they couldn’t refuse.
