Manchester City to host the 2008 Uefa Cup final
Manchester City‘s stadium has been chosen to host the Uefa Cup final in 2008. The City of Manchester Stadium – City’s home since 2003 – was selected by Uefa’s executive committee today. The committee turned down Wembley‘s bids for the 2008 or 2009 Champions League final (which is fair enough as it probably won’t have been finished by then). The finals have instead been handed to the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow and the Stadio Olimpico in Rome respectively.
