Steven Pienaar Committed To Everton, But ‘Undecided’ Over Future

The agent of Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar has been as scantily non-committal as is humanly possibly in his attempts to suggest that his client is not considering moving on when his deal at Goodison expires in the summer.

Speaking to the Liverpool Daily Post, Ivan Modia insisted that Pienaar is fully focused on the Toffees’ cause, despite him having refused to enter contract re-negotiations on several occasions and being strongly linked with a move to Tottenham every single day for the past 18 months:

“The player has not made his mind up. He just wants to concentrate on his football, I cannot make that any more clear.

“Nothing has been decided and Steven is committed and dedicated to the Everton cause, and I think that is evident.”

Any Toffees fans out there want to tell us if Pienaar’s dedication is ‘evident’ or otherwise so far this season?

Pienaar is often the best player we have on the pitch in terms of attitude and commitment. He should be offered the same terms as Mikel Arteta in my opinion. Perhaps not as gifted but gives more more often.

Love the player bored with this though, we should get shut of heitinga and put him on Mikkys wages (substantially lower than heitinga). If not ask tottenham if they want to swap him for bentley and corluka or man city for (jesus I am going to get some stick for this) lescott and one other of jo/wright phillips. Bottom line we should get pienaar signed or sorted and still get rid of heitinga whilst the rest of teh footballing world still thinks he isn’t crap.

Am I the only Everton fan who actually watches Pienaar? He’s terrible, and seems committed to losing the ball every chance he gets. I can’t wait until he’s gone. I just wish we would start paying Billy now so he could get in form.
