Just a quickie to let y’all know that Leicester City, after a couple of days of umming and ahhing, have finally announced the arrival of Yakubu ‘The Neck’ Aiyegbeni on a six-month loan deal from Everton.

With another club now worrying about paying the rent for the Yak’s 5-acres of prime grazing ground, the Toffees are hoping to have freed up enough cash to press on with their efforts to snare Monaco’s Dieumerci Mbokani until the end of the season as a direct replacement.

  1. Rob says:

Get set for Everton to buy another rubbish striker for just under 10 million then complain they have no money

  2. Conor O'Riordan says:

Who, like me, remembers the days when the Yak was someone you always had in at least one of your fantasy footie teams? Always reasonably priced and guaranteed you at least 10 goals a season. Ah the Boro and Pompey days……. *sigh*

just wondering on the just under 10 million rubbish striker who rob is talking about, because AJ cost nine and was shipped out for an undisclosed figure assumed to be 10m (not bad if you can get it) the yak was 12m and was for hist first two seasons constistent and beatie was 6m and sold for 4.5m. So financial we have not done bad with strikers looking around at the others in the prem.
