Blackburn Offered Juan Roman Riquelme On The Cheap
By Chris Wright
Blackburn, in their relentless search for a ‘marquee’ signing, have reportedly been offered the services of Boca Juniors stalwart (and light of legendary Gol TV commentator Ray Hudson’s life) Juan Roman Riquelme on the cheap.
Riquelme’s agent Barry McIntosh (you can almost smell the pinstripes) told the Lancashire Telegraph:
“I have spoken with (middle man) Jerome Anderson, who is doing a lot of work for Blackburn Rovers, about a deal for Riquelme and it is being thought about.
“He could prove a great alternative to Ronaldinho, but there is nothing definite yet.”
Now, aside from the inescapable fact that Riquelme is linked with a move to the Premier League in each and every single transfer window, wouldn’t it be awesome to see the venerable pass-master plying his silky trade over ‘ere?
It’d be like having Tugay back.
