Tottenham Defender Jonathan Woodgate Rejects Wolves Loan

By Chris Wright

Long-term Tottenham absentee Jonathan Woodgate has rejected a move to Wolves, after the West Midlanders made an official approach to take the centre-back on loan until the end of the season earlier today.

Woodgate has made just three Premier League starts since the beginning of last season, after repeatedly succumbing to a niggling groin problem for the past 18 months.

It was though that Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was keen to give the injury-riddled defender an immediate crack at first-team football, though Woodgate rejected the deal outright as he is hell-bent on earning himself a new contract at White Hart Lane.

  1. Nick says:

What a moronic heading, how insulting?

  2. The Gaffer says:

Sorry Chris, but that is an absolutely awful and sickening headline to use (“Tottenham Invalid Jonathan Woodgate Rejects Wolves Loan”).

Woodgate’s career has been ruined by injuries, but calling him an invalid is disgusting.

I would recommend changing it to something more appropriate.

    Cheers,
    The Gaffer
