    Anders Lindegaard? He was brilliant last year for AaFK, but he’s not even the best Scandinavian goalkeeper. Wiland and Isaksson are both better and are only three or four years older than the Dane. I’d love to see another former-Tippeligaen player succeed in England, but I strongly doubt Lindegaard will prove to be the eighth best signing of this January window.

    Also, Adam Hammill, Stéphane Sessègnon, Daniel Sturridge and Carlos Vela seem to have been overlooked. The completion of the Hatem Ben Arfa move was a coup for Newcastle too.

    Otherwise, it’s a reasonable list.

    LINDEGAARD? OH DEAR. I’M SORRY, BUT YOU CAN’T PUT A HOPELUS GOALKEEPER ON THE LIST, WHO’LL NEVER PLAY FOR UNITED ( BECAUSE THEY’LL SIGN A GOOD REPLACEMENT IN JANUARY FOR VAN DER SAR ) AND LEAVE OUT THE LIKES OF ANDY CARROLL OR DARREN BENT OR EVEN CONNOR SAMMONN, WHO I THINK COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WIGAN GOING DOWN AND STAYING UP. SOZ :(
