1. Edin Dzeko - £27m is not cheap, but Dzeko has already shown signs that it could be a steal. Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren thinks so, calling the Bosnian forward 'different class' when asked recently about Dzeko's value. City fans seem to have warmed to Dzeko, whose eye for a goal is allied to good control and an excellent workrate. And as Gareth Barry says, the arrival of Dzeko means City no longer have to rely on Carlos Tevez.
