“I see no City!”

His pet-project is looking ever-more Barca bound, a £7 million fee has been agreed with Manchester City for left-back Gael Clichy and there are several swirling reports that Samir Nasri may be about to follow his compatriot to Eastlands for £20-odd million, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to discuss the fact that he may be about to lose a triplet of first-team players.

When asked whether an ‘exodus’ was imminent during a presser before the Gunners’ pre-season tour of Malaysia, Wenger told Alsace TV:

“We are in a waiting period, everybody is waiting for the other club to move. Everybody has their cards in [their] hands, hoping for the big transfer.

“There is nothing moving yet. The period will be more active at the end of July when we will need to really strengthen the team.”

Wenger is either playing it exceptionally cool as his first-string is threatened with decimation before his very eyes, or the man is in more denial than Moses was.

wenger really sucks nowadays, he should retire he hasnt got it in him anymore.

No doubt Wenger has it under control. He has done for all this time…

He probably has several younger players on the cards to take over for a fraction of the cost like he has in previous years. For example, he bought Anelka for pennies and then sold him on for £22 mil after two seasons. HE then replaced him with Henry for £11. Lets not under-estimate Wenger here..

Can’t wait for them to arrive up north, Arsene is a spent force and would be extremely worried if I was an arsenal fan

just 11 pounds for henry eh?

Let ’em have Clichy, but I hope we’re able to hold on to Nasri. He’ll have no problem stepping up when Cesc is gone for good.

There’s been plenty of hysterics in the media over the last few weeks about an Arsenal player exodus, but people seem to have conveniently forgotten that these are the very players that have won sod all over the last few years, that have consistently underperformed and fallen apart when the pressure’s been on. Of course it’ll be a blow to lose a quality player like Fabregas, but as for the rest? Let them go. Time to try and build a new team, this one’s failed.

I hear there are a couple of dynamo’s in the U14’s who Wenger will be blooding this season.
