Hallelujah! Saint Pepe has apologised for crushing Lionel Messi’s fingers on Wednesday night and guess what? He didn’t mean it, honest guv…

Here it is again in good ol’ fashioned ‘written down’ format for posterity’s sake using the PA’s translation:

“I wish to say yesterday’s incident with Leo Messi was unintentional, but I nevertheless want to apologise to him if he was offended because all I do is defend my team and this institution.

“I try and defend my team to the limit, give my heart and soul, and the thought of hurting a colleague has never entered my mind.”

To be fair, it probably never entered his mind because he is – to all intents and purposes – mindless.

  2. Ben says:

Of course he didn’t what a fucking nut case basiclly theyve gone shit his guna get a ban better get him in front of the camera spew some shit and hope his ban isnt as long fucking tool!!!!

  3. audiodrifter says:

Is there any precedent for a lifetime ban? If any player deserves one, it’s this idiot.

  4. Pau says:

¿Qué coño, cabrón?¡Eres hijo de puta!

  5. __wowza says:

didn’t help that he looked straight down before stepping on his hand, or that he didn’t turn around when he realized that he’d stepped on something. quick tip to all footballers out there:

if you’re on the pitch and you feel something under your foot.. it’s probably another fucking player!!

  6. wolfinho says:

the fact that marca thinks he should be suspended/sold tells you what madridistas generally think about him. QPR should snatch him up, would go great with barton in the squad. probably wouldn’t have the stones to step on a player in the english game as well, might have to actually play as well as he’s capable without the nastiness.

  7. Rob says:

He’s actually done quite well for himself as he should be banned for at least 5 different incidents in the game but just this one is being focused on. As Alan Partridge would say, “Scum, sub human scum!”

  8. nick says:

i hate pepe an unhealthy amount, they were a disgrace the other day. if they played with confidence like they do against the weaker teams maybe they wouldn’t bottle it so often against barca

  9. murry1975 says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKt4IBxD5oo&feature=related if he didnt get banned for life for this attack : kicking and then kneeling on him then a couple of times standing on him , scum bag.

  10. STFC says:

He deserves to be put down

  11. jerz says:

Ok i have no real love for anyone of the douchebags on the Real squad (I dont like Barca or messi either), but pepe has made that group of ball bags look even worse. I mean the guy looks down, and then steps on his hand and looks shocked when the ref looks at him…. , Players should have some respect for their profession and their craft. This is complete shite. Reality is Pepe is a talented footballer, but any team that wants a flaming nutbag on their team like him really needs to adjust their priorities. Anyone that defends this cockgobbler is a complete tool.

  12. Tosser says:

The only classy part of this was Alonso going directly over to Messi (the first player to get there)after watching what happened. He should have gone to the ref next and asked for a red on Pepe: would have made him a legend and a dead man. But we all have to die of something.

  13. nils says:

Lying, cheating piece of horse shit.

  14. alex says:

^come here for a light-hearted browse now I’m contemplating how I’m gonna die. Wonderful. As for pepe, the game could do without thugs like him. Anyway see his theatrical dive clutching his face moments before the stamp on messi? Just Embarassing.

  15. Solihull United says:

fucking lying cunt, try doing that in the EPL.
