Metalist’s Cristian Villagra Scores Titanic Free-Kick vs Dinamo Moscow – 70 Yards, No Bounce (Video)

By Chris Wright

If I was to tell you that FC Metalist full-back Cristian Villagra scored a direct free-kick from 70 yards against Dinamo Moscow yesterday, you’d probably be envisaging some kind of hit-and-hope effort that gets carried the length of the pitch by the wind, hits a divot, bounces twice over a stranded goalkeeper and nestles soundly in the back of the net.

Class strike, shouldn’t of counted though because the ball was moving when he hit the free kick!

    Wow, just… wow

  3. Michael says:

Why no shouts of moving ball from the oppo? It seems clear enough to me. Even so, a great a hit.

  4. Tom Jones says:

    Crap music.

  5. Abe Froman says:

@Michael, exactly what I was thinking as he struck it.

  6. Dick Naylor says:

Goal shouldn’t have counted because Nickelback’s death siren was distracting the keeper.

  7. Ben says:

Moving ball. And keeper should have saved it. Apart from that though, the best 70 yard free kick of the year so far.
