Sergio Ramos Batters Diego Costa With An Elbow, Costa Gets Yellow Card For Complaining (Video)

During the very same match that saw Cristiano Ronaldo score his 500th goal of the season with an impudent backheel, came an incident right at the other end of the spectrum. Sergio Ramos battered Rayo Vallecano’s Diego Costa across the chin with a reverse elbow, which saw the Real Madrid centre-half escape scot free and the Vallecano man booked for having the temerity to complain…

The fact that Ramos sizes Costa up over his shoulder is a tell-tale sign that the elbow was premeditated. Nasty play from a defender that seems to lapse like this fairly regularly, despite being talented enough not to have to do so.

It probably won’t surprise you that Pepe also got in on the act – planting his studs on Piti’s ankle after sprinting 20-yards to do so…

Again, no punishment other than the concession of a free-kick was deemed necessary.

Love how Ramos had the nerve to tell him to get up after chinning him. The question: was it under an instruction from Mourinho?

  2. usrick says:

Some things never change – Real Madrid players escape punishment no matter what they do.

As it was inside the box, it should have been a penalty. But as it is Real Madrid….

Ramos and Pepe are a shame to the sport.
Ramos should have been sent out and did not even get a yellow…actually, Costa got the card. Pepe seems to be able to do what he does best on the pitch any time he wants to. He earns a red card every time he plays, yet he doesn’t even get warnings/yellow cards (just like in that play). He doesn’t have to deal with the consequences of his actions during the game or after. On top of that, R. Madrid and the media outlets they control condone and encourage such attitude.

And this, my friends, is why I despise Real Madrid CF.

What a pair of fucken wanks! La Liga officials are really terrible, not the first time…

  7. Bear says:

When you watch the defensive move by Pepe, any defender would relish the opportunity to have an attacking player turn around straight into the tackle. What makes Pepe’s maneuver even more appalling is that there was absolutely no attempt to play the ball in a simple tackle that could have won the ball cleanly. Unbelievable.

I continue to despise La Liga, let alone Real Madrid, for this kind of rubbish.

Ramos’ elbow was a sneaky little shit move that somehow goes unpunished, even though the ref was pretty close by, can’t see from the video, and then he has the temerity to tell the player to get up after.
What is there to say about Pepe anymore? It’s amazing that he has done so many maniac disgusting things and is still playing for the top team in spain consistently, not to get any barca fans yelling at me, thats just what the standings say. Saurez is banned 8 matches in England for calling someone a negro, john terry is stripped of his national team captaincy that has led to eruption and disarray 4 months before a HUGE tournament, for being racist. But somehow Pepe proceeds to do whatever he pleases week in week out and is a conniving little cunt about it. Although Ramos’s elbow was ridiculous, it is a much more rare occurrence for him, where it is hard to find a stretch of games that Pepe plays that doesn’t make you want to stab him in the throat.
This is why i have to like barca instead of madrid, their leaders; Puyol, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta never resort to such womanly bullshit. They were raised barca, live barca, and embody it by fucking you up with immaculate touches, not cheap bullshit
