Shameful Dive: HB Koge Defender Ronni Bendtsen Poleaxed By Nipple Nudge (Video)

Exactly ten minutes after opening the scoring in Denmark, SonderjyskE striker Quincy Antipas was shown a straight red card against HB Koge as a result of the worst, most shamefully abysmally shameful dive you’re likely to see today – well, at least until it all kicks off at the Camp Nou tonight anyway.

With Antipas stationed on the goal-line ahead of a SonderjyskE corner, Koge defender Ronni Bendtsen plopped to the ground like plummeting cow shit upon taking the slightest shove uponst the nipple from the Zimbabwean striker – falling to the floor with a traumatised yelp, then holding his face and remaining ‘poleaxed’ in the back of the net while Antipas was duly ejected from the pitch…

Full marks for commitment – Bendtson really went ‘method’ with that one – but still, what a conniving little scheister.

You’ll no doubt be glad to learn that HB Koge lost 2-1.

This is making me sick; these players are turning the game into a mockery.

  2. Gooneriano says:

It’s actually not as outrageous as you make it out to be. It wasn’t just him giving the defender a “nipple nudge”. If you look at 24 seconds, his shoulder (albeit unintentional) smackes the defender on the chin. This can hurt. No doubt the defender made the most of it. It’s not as though there was no facial contact at all and he grabbed his face for no reason. He took a blow from the guys shoulder. Don’t get me wrong, i loathe diving and play acting but i just don’t think this is as bad as you make it out to be. It wasn’t Rivaldoesque!

shocking! Hopefully Young doesnt watch foreign footy.

  4. Al says:

@ gooneriano – you are wrong, wrong, wrong. His shoulder did not “smack” the defenders chin it merely caressed it and there is no way in hell that it warranted the reaction from the defender. Boxers who get knocked out by Mike Tyson have had less of a reaction, the player is a disgrace and should recieve a lengthy ban. Making the most of a defenders tackle by diving is open for debate as to whetehr it is cheating or not but this is clearly one profeessional blatantly trying to get another professional sent off by lying prostrate on the ground for quite a long period of time.
Football is dangerously close to eliminating fair shoulders, holding off, tackling and any physical contact whatsoever and if it comes to that we should all watch basketball which would invariably be a more entertaining non-contact sport.

  5. Martin Agervig says:

Fun fact: The diving idiot from the link used to play in the danish league a couple of years ago!! Danish FA has opened a case against Bendtsen. There is a huge uproar amongst danish football fans at the moment because referees are making so many awfully stupid decisions – this being one of them. Bendtsen should be banned for the rest of the season…

  6. Gooneriano says:

@ Al, whichever way you describe it, he was hit on the chin. I am not saying that it was a sending off or anything like it. I went on to say that the defender made the most of it. But the author of the article said that the defender received the “slightest shove uponst the nipple from the Zimbabwean striker – falling to the floor with a traumatised yelp, then holding his face” as if to say he was pushed in the chest then grabbed his face for no reason (like Rivaldo). Which was not the case. I am not saying that he didn’t dive i am merely saying that the level of “cheating” wasn’t as high as the author made out to be in the headline and report.

  7. Gooneriano says:

By the way Chris, i Love this website! Just though this one was a bit OTT that’s all.

  8. Joe says:

Gooneriano.. Accept he blatantly dived. In an ideal world this would lead to a ban. Pathetic and shameful.

  9. Gooneriano says:

@ Joe. I don’t know if you read any of my comments but i did say he made the most of it. Twice. This is the 3rd time now. He just didn’t make as much of it as the headline and report would suggest. This guy deseres to be abused but not shot!

  10. oblique says:

Just watched it, nothing touches his chin. or anywhere hear his face.
    Therefore, he should be shot.
