We’ve got reactions and conclusions coming up shortly so we’ll keep this brief; after dry-humping away for 120 minutes while England went ‘Helms Deep’ once again, Italy waited patiently for a chink in the armour to open as England knackered themselves out treading water and finally saw footballing justice prevail during the penalty shoot-out – Alessandro Diamanti (yep, that Alessandro Diamanti; the guy from the Knorr adverts) scoring the decisive kick after Ashley Young and Ashley Cole had both missed for England.

Bum.

England looked so fucking tired…after a season of conditioning I was expecting more out of this youngish group. Did they get worked too hard in training or what? Honestly there is no need for hard practices after the season that some of these guys of had (50+ games in some cases).

And Rooney should have come off instead of Welbeck.

  2. Leo says:

Young, Welbeck, Milner, Rooney… HODGSON! A fucking disgrace.

  3. Eckpfosten says:

I Think the “Three Lions” are on the best way to establish a great young team with a good keeper. In Brazil, I bet, we will see more of those guys.

couldn’t agree more about the tiredness. everybody out there seemed to be huffing air from the first minute.

could you imagine had they gotten to the semis and faced a german team with 2 days extra rest? woulda been massacred….
