Forget his fleet-footed dribbling and dazzling ball skills, Neymar showed just what a magnificent cheating diver he is against Gremio recently, flying in the air and then feigning serious injury after he was touched by nothing but fresh Brazilian air (Santos won the game 4-2, by the way).

To add insult to injury for Gremio, Santos then scored from the resulting free-kick.

Expect Barcelona or Real Madrid to sign him up soon!

youve got to hand it to him that is quite a skill to do

  2. Connor says:

Absolutely shameless, being 3-0 up adds another dimension to the pathetic-ness of Neymar.

  3. Meldeath says:

Looks like he has really wanted to join Barcelona all along. Got the skills in pretty much every necessary department.

  4. Ben says:

I hope he goes madrid pele needs to shut the fuck up about him his an arrogant little shit who wont leave the brazillian league as he knows he will choke.

  5. Dr Proctor says:

“Expect Barcelona or Real Madrid to sign him up soon!”

He would suit Chelsea or Man Utd even more

  6. futballsznob says:

Okay, it is diving, but had he stayed on his feet, he would have been kicked twice. As you can see, the defender swung his right foot to trip him, then tried to catch him from behind with his left.

  7. LCFC says:

Still a booking and a yellow card.

  8. Skip says:

Diving is part of the game, every player does it, even Messi, so people who complain and call Neymar ridiculous are simply haters. The defender shouldn’t have put himself in that position. Also if you had watched the whole game you would have seen a shameful dive by Kleberson in the box, that the ref thankfully didn’t call.

  9. usrick says:

Yes it was a shameful dive and faking of injury and yes the referee was fooled, but don’t blame the goal on the dive or on the call – that was the result of absolutely terrible “defense.”

  10. Guy says:

I think Busquets and Pepe are competing to see who got a bigger hard on over that dive…

  11. Miguel - NYC says:

In england, people actually side with shit defenders who in their defense say “he was too fast” (Martin Taylor aka the guy go broke Eduardo’s leg).
This is the reason the best EPL players (and coaches) are from abroad and England hasn’t won shit. But go ahead, keep on enjoying the brainless and long game ball that has brought you so much glory all these years.

  12. Andre says:

It wasn’t so much the jump but more the feigning of the injury. Really unnecessary, he would have gotten the call regardless…

  13. Jason says:

Not really a dive, Neymar was just quick enough to avoid a reckless tackle. No contact but still a free kick & yellow for intent.

  14. jackie wilshere says:

    what a free kick!

  15. JayJay says:

    @Andre and @Jason: Amen.

  16. Chris says:

to post number 11. Miguel – fuck off you wanker. the EPL is a product of entertainment. Before its rebranding it was a proper physical game. Diving, pure and simple is a dirty fucking move.

  17. Cosa says:

Just wait till Ryan Shawcross gets a hold of this cunt, then he won’t be diving

  18. That was so impressive that I’d still give him the free kick even now I know its fake.

  19. Flyer says:

He will fit right in at chelsea then.

Simple answer, 1 game ban for the 1st dive and then add on an extra game for each dive after that. The likes of Drogba would then only play 5 games a season.

  20. Lumpit says:

Incredible opinions being put forward, diving is part of the game, siding with shit defenders etc, this defender has done his job, made himself hard to beat, closed down the ball. Naymar had two options, try something to beat him/maintain possession or the easy option, cheat and maintain possession. In this case he is the limited lazy one, not the defender.

  21. Zuza Falcao says:

I’m brazilian, and im not really a fan of neymar, but come on, arent you guys being a little harsh here? i know you play a completely different style of football, but youre telling me neymar shouldve not dived and actually take that fucking boot to the knee? no fucking way son, he is worth millions! that game was a stupid mid league game, worth jack shit and he needs to take the blow for the “glory of the game”? fuck that, where i think he proves to be the little spoiled bitch that he is when faking the injury, that is just plain stupid. but he doesnt need to take the blow, just dive and avoid the injury.
