Atletico Mineiro rolled Figueirense over in the Brazilian league yesterday, sticking six unanswered goals past their opponents including a hat-trick (plus two further assists) from the outstanding Ronaldinho – his first goal looking a little something like this…
As you can see, Ronaldinho’s emotions got the better of him after he (perhaps a little fortuitously) floated in the opener at the far post, his teammates huddling around him as he collapsed to his knees and struggling in vain to stave off the tears.
Sadly Ron’s step father had passed away on Friday after suffering a heart attack at home (his real father also died of a heart attack when he was just eight-years old). Fittingly, his step son put in a performance to make him proud.
