Cristiano Ronaldo scored a couple of crackers on his way to yet another hat-trick as Real Madrid reversed their Copa Del Rey last-16 first leg defeat against Celta Vigo by coasting to a 4-0 yomp in the Bernabeu on Wednesday night – Sami Khedira steering the fourth home with a couple of minutes left to play.

Ronaldo’s first and best goal of the evening was a trademark speculative tomahawk from out on the left flank that found it’s intended target and nestled sweetly inside Celta Vigo ‘keeper Sergio Alvarez’s left-hand post…

The only blot on Madrid’s copy book was the sending-off of Sergio Ramos (who probably has as many red cards for Los Blancos as Ronaldo has hat-tricks!) for indiscriminately ramming his studs into Augusto Fernandez’s chin region and thus picking up his second yellow of the night…

Always great to see a red card for Ramos. With Pepe really settling down this season i don’t who’s the bigger thug of those two.

I can’t find it in the highlights, but Ronaldo made such a sharp cut that Celta’s Lago actually injured himself trying to stay with him. I’d never seen anything like that before.

Wow, Jose Mourinho is a moody old bastard nowadays.
