Argentinian sport broadcasters TyC Sports have done the decent thing and cobbled together a six-minute highlight reel of all of their favourite blatantly filthy, flesh-shredding horror fouls from around the world in 2012…

Viewer discretion is advised. Not one moment of this is pretty!

It’s amazing just how many incredulous “what did I do?” shrugs the referees get after watching a player butcher a member of the opposition with a groin-high lunge.

Footballers are great.
