Graeme Le Saux Attempts To Recreate 1995 Super Looper Goal Against Brazil (Video)

By Chris Wright

This is great: Ahead of the Brazil friendly at Wembley next week, former England left-back Graeme Le Socks, now 44, attempts to recreate his famous looping volley against La Selecao in the Umbro Cup back in 1995 (England lost 3-1)…

Two things: 1) What a thoroughly lovely chap Graeme Le Saux seems like and, 2) we’d forgotten quite how nasty some of Brazil’s tackling was in that game. Some very naughty challenges flying in there.

Five points to anyone who can name Brazil’s three goalscorers that day…

  1. Doctor's Your Uncle says:

A true gentleman. He was a footballer of a type that is fairly common today, but quite a rarity when he played. An “continental” player, you might say.

As a Liverpool fan I still cringe, when I think about Robbie Fowlers idiotic taunting of Le Saux when he was with Chelsea. Shamefull.

    Edmundo, Ronaldo and.. Rai?

Juninho Paulista, Ronaldo and Edmundo (the Animal!)

    What Alex sai.
