I didn’t realize it until I saw this replay, but CR7 appears to give only a halfhearted effort at dealing with the ball, jumping a bit late and less high than he does when trying to score from a header. I don’t know if it was due to his ankle or he wasn’t fully invested in the game along with most of his teammates.
