Liverpool’s Jonjo Shelvey Heads Wide From Four Inches For England U21s Vs Sweden (Video)

Right, it was a bit more than four inches, but dome-headed Red Jonjo Shelvey really should have put away his header against Sweden on Tuesday night.

Stuart Pearce’s starlets ran out 4-0 winners on a rainy night in Walsall, thanks to a brace from Liverpool target Tom Ince, an actual goal from Shelvey and one from Connor Wickham. However, Shelvey’s uber-miss is worth a look and a proverbial (or real, it’s up to you) shake of the head.

It’s not like he can claim that his hair got in his eyes, which does make Marouane Fellaini’s potent aerial ability all the more impressive.
