Lionel Messi busted into the 300 Club last night with both goals (his 36th and 37th of the season so far) against Granada in Barcelona’s 2-1 victory, scoring his 300th and 301st goals in 365 official games for the club and extending his scoring run to 14 league games without a single scratch.

Not bad.

Those diligent fellows over at @MessiStats have conjured up the following infographic which charts Messi’s phenomenal year-on-year scoring rate…

Superb. Superhuman. Phenomenal. Inmessionante.

Here’s all 301 of Messi’s Barca goals, should you fancy a 20-minute dabble…

Owner and creator of the stuff at Messistats is Dutch fella Ramon Min. That guy is crazy on soccer stats, and especially on Messi :) Lovely to follow. @RamonMin

he’s got good feet for a big man.

  3. Stu says:

Meh, but could he do it at Stoke on a wet Tuesday night?

(The answer is actually yes, he’d probably score a hat trick)

  4. ChristianVieri says:

But could he have done it without HGH? Wonder what will happen once FIFA brings biological passports into football.

  5. Jarren says:

Fair play to him for saying he wants to play out his career at the team who nurtured him and made him what he is.

Not that many other teams could afford him, but you imagine other players would love the fame of being the highest payed footballer ever.

What WOULD Messi fetch if he was on the market?

    £150 mil? £200 mil?

Anything less would be an insult.
