Andrea pours himself a cheeky little glass of Mad Dog 20/20

When you think about it, it makes perfect sense that a creature as cultured, sophisticated and precision-bearded as Andrea Pirlo dabbles in fine wine, though we weren’t aware that the Juventus string-puller actually owns – or, more specifically, his family owns a vineyard in the hills around Brescia in northern Italy.

Pirlo has produced a little video in which he talks about his love for grape juice, and that he plans to take the family business by the balls once he knocks his playing career on the head. There’s even a guest appearance from Mama Pirlo, who describes her son as ”a lively but quiet child”.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to travel outside the safe confines of Pies to watch the video as the damn thing won’t embed properly. Here it be.

Pirlo doesn’t look one iota out of place all cardigan-ed up and quaffing from a cheeky little red. Whadda guy!

Maybe he could join forces with Andres Iniesta and produce the silkiest, most technically-adept wine in midfield history!?
