Sometimes these kind of glamour ties can fail to live up to expectations, but on Thursday evening, the traditional workd footballing powers of Italy and Brazil served up a highly entertaining spectacle, topped off by a number of superb goals.
After Fred had opened the scoring, Chelsea’s Oscar poked home a clever second to put a fitting finish on Neymar’s clever reverse pass. However, a back-heeled effort from Daniele de Rossi followed by a magnificent floated Mario Balotelli striker leveled the score.

As for Mr. Balotelli, he is currently enjoying a superb run of form since moving to Milan from the Etihad. Once he focuses on his football, the 22-year-old surely could become a great of the Italian game. And good luck to the mentalist, I say!
