International Friendly: Italy And Brazil Provide Glamour And Goals In A-List 2-2 Draw (Highlights)

By Alan Duffy

Sometimes these kind of glamour ties can fail to live up to expectations, but on Thursday evening, the traditional workd footballing powers of Italy and Brazil served up a highly entertaining spectacle, topped off by a number of superb goals.

After Fred had opened the scoring, Chelsea’s Oscar poked home a clever second to put a fitting finish on Neymar’s clever reverse pass. However, a back-heeled effort from Daniele de Rossi followed by a magnificent floated Mario Balotelli striker leveled the score.

As for Mr. Balotelli, he is currently enjoying a superb run of form since moving to Milan from the Etihad. Once he focuses on his football, the 22-year-old surely could become a great of the Italian game. And good luck to the mentalist, I say!
