Ah, the sweet, sweet perks of being a global footballing superstar. Lionel Messi recently appeared on a suitably nonsensical Japanese gameshow charged with beating a robotic goalkeeper from the penalty spot.

Messi’s first two efforts are successfully thwarted by his lightning-reflexed, laser-guided cardboard opponent, but you’ll be glad to know that the wee Barcelona man does eventually manage to stick one away by giving the keeper “the eyes”…

    He should try a Panenka. Btw the last one is probably a fake. Why Valdes, I mean the robot keeper go left for a second? Then it was impossible to go down to the right corner.
