Over in the Romanian fifth division the players’ safety is of the utmost importance, therefore specialised research teams are employed to spend countless hours forwarding the technology used to protect and treat injuries that may occur on the pitch.
During Saturday’s game between Politehnica Timisoara and Timisul Urseni, one of the research department’s most futuristic devices made its debut when an injured player was left in need of an escort from the field.

And yes, by “research department” we actually mean “a couple of half-cut guys who failed the auditions to get on the Romanian version of Scrapheap Challenge”.
