He’s universally regarded as one of the more promising young goalkeepers in European football, but Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen did his rising stock no favours at all last night when he dropped an almighty clanger during Germany’s surprise 4-3 defeat against the USA.

In an attempt to play it out from the back, Benedikt Howedes found himself caught in possession and rolled the back to his ‘keeper – only for Ter Stegen to go all “Enckelman” on his ass…

EPICFAILLULZ.

While we’re talking strictly “Germany B” again here, Clint Dempsey scored a couple to take himself onto 35 international goals in 96 caps, slipping past Eric Wynalda and into second place on the all-time USA scoring chart, 14 goals behind Landon Donovan in top spot.

Here’s the full highlights – keep an eye out for Jozy Altidore’s volleyed opener and Dempsey’s sweet-as-a-Georgia-peach second goal…

He is great on Football Manager, still a bit p!ssed off that he decided to join Man City in my football manager world anyway!

  2. Eckpfosten says:

Such a great keeper, but when ever he gets his chance at the Nationalmannschaft, he sucks… Sad!
