Jordan Beat Kuwait 21-0 In Women’s World Cup Qualifier Thanks To Truly Horrendous Goalkeeping Display! (Video)

By Chris Wright

If you’re getting beaten 21-0 you know there’s probably something a bit iffy about your defence. In the case of Kuwait’s women’s side, it was definitely their ‘keeper, who filed what must go down as one of the worst goalkeeping displays ever as Jordan absolutely ran roughshod (they were 6-0 up after 20 minutes) over her during their recent World Cup qualifier…

Yikes.

Sadly it’s all-too-frequent goalkeeping performances like this that prevent people taking the women’s game seriously as an non-token entity.

she’s either been bribed, or is retarded.

God that defending is just abysmal, it’s like watching school kids. Some of the shots were actually pretty good though, I say do away with defending and just have 2 teams of female strikers slapping it in from 30 yards; they can call it a different sport and it would be a lot more compelling to watch.

Apparently Jordan needed to win 18-0 to have goal average advantage over Uzbekistan (who had themselves won 18-0 over Kuwait), so the bribe isn’t ‘impossible’ (some of those goals are shocking), but given they’ve already lost 18-0, it’s possible she’s just that bad…

I believe you meant to say Jordan in the 1st paragraph before the parenthesis

  5. Terry Shedingham says:

I’ve often thought this, but why do they use goals that are the same size as in the men’s game? Given that women are generally shorter and weaker than men, it seems like a no-brainer to have smaller ones.

Terrible all around defending from Kuwait. Not just the goalkeeping. Not much the goalie could have done about some of them (incredible shots) but some of the goals were indeed abysmal. The fact that Kuwait scored zero times shows shows the all-around team performance is below par. To even allow 21 goal scoring opportunities means the midfield is probably shite too.

21 goals ehh? 21 players actually playing, the other 1(goalkeeper) not playing properly. i’ve seen through their hidden message.

This is just bloody tragic :/ I sometimes play in goal for my supporter’s club 5/6/7/8/however many a side team on weekends, and I save more than that girly! And I’m short and podgy! But not afraid to leap, dive, catch and do whatever else

  9. usrick says:

Definitely poor goalkeeping, but the score also had a lot to do with Kuwait’s poor defense and good shooting by Jordan, not to mention multiple penalty kicks.
On another note, I understand the religious reasons some of the players wore head coverings during the match, but those white over white over white over white made some Jordanian players look like the Sta-Puff marshmallow man from the ‘Ghost Busters’ movie.
