Great news for all the dog lovers/staunch anti-intolerable moron brigade out there: Enzo Jimenez, the Argentinian footballer who attempted to chuck a pitch-invading dog over the stadium fencing by its neck, has had his contract terminated by his club.

Jimenez’s (former) employers, Club Sportivo Bella Vista, issued the following statement last night (apologies if our translation is a bit shonky):

“The Executive Committee of Club Sportivo Bella Vista [have decided that], by throwing violently a dog that had entered the field of play while the game was in progress, our club cannot protect the human and sporting image of Jose Antonio Jimenez, which has been damaged by his incomprehensible attitude.

“In accordance with the Committee’s Book of Proceedings, we have cancelled his registration from our roster.”

Well played that Executive Committee!

Feels awkward to see the right thing happen.

  2. KingB3113 says:

What an overreaction. It should have been a fine or/and community service at worst. Seems to me like the club needed any excuse to cancel his contract. I doubt they would have done the same had the guy been a world class talent. I hope he sues their pants off

If a dog violently attacked a football it would get pulled down. If a footballer violently attacked a dog that person should be released by the club he was at, the ba**ard deserved it!

Are u fucking retarded or what? What if it was your dog thats being thrown away like that was it an “overreaction”? Let me explain to your stupid little brain. Think about the club’s reputation, would their fans would want to be associated with a club with such reputation? Ticket sales, Merchandise, Sponsorship will be all gone. First you seemed don’t have a heart but then i just discovered u have no brain either.

You’re pure evil, KingB3113. I hope you burn in hell.

They did the right thing. That was a horrible thing for anyone to have to see. Who could look up to a guy like that? It doesn’t matter how well he plays if he is so crazy stupid as to not even think for a second that what he was doing would offend thousands/millions of people. What he did was disgusting and I’m amazed he didn’t break that dogs next doing what he did…wouldn’t that have been something for kids in the stands to see. Just horrible.

Good for them, it’s about time modern day spoil brat footballers were shown they can’t get away with everything. Any news on the dog?

  6. JJ says:

Didn’t Suarez do this in England?

  7. Lamp_Shade says:

What a disgusting bloke, I hope him and gross mullet never set foot on a pitch professionally again.

  8. Giancarlo says:

Wow I am surprisingly shocked that they did this and the other team even went to tell him off. What a disgusting move by a despicable person. Good on the team for cutting him!

  9. XYZZZ says:

Love the fact that other players wanted to beat the shit out of that excuse of a human being and the crowd sung his right name: “Hijo de puta”
Oh, and KingB3113, please do decent humans a favor and die

  10. OldNumber7Shirt says:

No doubt the player and his ilk have released a statement that “he’s not that type of player.”

  11. MvB says:

It´s good when someone do the same with this ´Hijo de puta´! There should be no place on this planet for this kind of ´garbage´. And I mean that something called Enzo Jimenez.
