There are certain things that Pies will just never tire of watching: Jose Feliciano is full flight, that scene in “A Good Woman” when Scarlet Johannson is crawling round on the floor, the Toronto Raptors mascot trying to roller-skate down stairs and Trevor Sinclair’s perfectly executed bicycle kick in the FA Cup against Barnsley in 1997…
Sweet as a Jawgia peach! 16 years old and still as beautiful as the day it was bor…hang on, we better stop that particular sentence before we wind up on some kind of register.
Anyway, we only bring up Sinclair’s acrobatic masterpiece as, now aged 40, Trev has been demonstrating that he very much “still got it”, scoring a lovely little pastiche of his Barnsley-basher during a testimonial game for long-serving Man City kitman Les “Chappy” Chapman at Edgely Park yesterday…
Proof that you never lose it, it just takes you slightly longer to get back up again afterwards.
