Dubious Referee Gives Russian Side Three ‘Highly Questionable’ Penalties In Space Of Three Minutes (Video)

By Chris Wright

Dodgy goings-on from Russia here, with footage from the recent third tier game between Terek Gronzy II and Alaniya II in which the home side were gifted three incredibly generous penalties in the space of just under two minutes of actual game time.

When we say “incredibly generous”, what we mean of course is “laughably soft and almost definitely fraudulent”.

That said, however, the Chechen side did their level best to try and nullify the referee’s incompetence (to put it politely) by managing to miss the first two of their gift-wrapped spot-kicks in truly wretched style…

What’s “back-hander” in Russian?

Amazing enough., the game finally ended 2-0 to Terek despite the staggering incompetence from absolutely everybody on show.

  1. Dean says:

The first one looks like it could have been legit (hard to tell from such a difference) but the second and third are jokes.

  2. Nuno says:

Surprised the ref didn’t repeat the second, given the keeper stepped forward, but that was soon corrected.
Still, those if it’s questionable penalties you want, those come miles behind this one:

  3. KP says:

    what a farce.
