Before the weekend’s round of fixtures, NAC Breda found themselves squatting perilously above the Eredivisie drop zone, a mere two points clear of the dotted line – that was until they managed a rare win (their first in four games) over fellow relegation-botherers Cambuur, thus earning themselves three points and a couple of rungs on the ladder.
The victory was of course greeted with mass hysteria by the NAC players who, instead of the usual lap-of-honour, decided to all clamber fully-dressed into the jacuzzi installed at the side of the pitch…
In case you’re baffled as to why NAC have seen fit to plumb in a jacuzzi on the touchline, it was part of a competition in which fans could win the pitch-side experience – something we believe Swiss club Grasshopper Zurich were first to offer to their supporters.
