Sheffield United 3-1 Nottingham Forest – FA Cup 5th Round – 16th February 2014
Chris Porter was the star of the show for Sheffield United on Sunday, with his two late goals firing the League One side through to the last eight of the FA Cup. Forest had opened the scoring on the half-hour mark, courtesy of Jamie Paterson and they looked the better side throughout the first period. However, after the break the Blades hit back when Conor Coady fired home after Tricky Trees’ ‘keeper Dorus de Vries failed to deal with a cross. And then, at the death, Porter fired home from the penalty post after Greg Halford had handled in the area before scoring again to secure a late late brace and send the Blades into the next round, where they may well face rivals Sheffield Wednesday, who still have to play their last 16 tie with Charlton.
