Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Hull City – FA Cup 5th Round – 17th February 2014
Premier League side Hull fought back from a goal down to secure a hard-fought draw with Brighton at the Amex Stadium. The home side had taken the lead after a frantic opening in which Hull’s Yannick Sagbo had hit the woodwork, with Argentine striker Leonardo Ulloa deftly lifting the ball over Tigers’ ‘keeper Allan McGregor.
After the break, the Tigers pushed for an equaliser which left them open to the countrer-attack on a number of occasions. However, with five minutes left, Sagbo controlled the ball superbly in the box before firing past Peter Brezovan in the Seagull’s goal. A replay at the KC Stadium awaits, with ex-Brighton boss Gus Poyet and Sunderland waiting for the winner.
